No. Nubi works from a device id created quietly the first time you record — no email, no name, no sign-up screen. If you want your shelf to follow you to a second phone, you can add a recovery email later; it's entirely optional.

Up to 3 minutes on the free plan, up to 10 minutes once you subscribe — plenty for a real bedtime story without hitting a wall mid-telling.

There's no pause, and no per-page re-recording in this version — one take, start to finish. If it's not right, re-record the whole thing before you save; nothing is kept until you do.

Your first story is free and fully illustrated, with playback of your original recording. Try it before deciding whether to subscribe.

One plan, $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year ($6.67/month): every page illustrated, recordings up to 10 minutes, redraws for pictures you don't love, bedtime mode, and share links. It covers up to eight fully illustrated stories a month; past that, stories are still written, paged and narrated in your voice, and new pictures resume when the month turns over.

Seven days, starting the moment you subscribe. We remind you two days before it ends, and if you cancel before then you're charged nothing.

In your Apple account, any time — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Nubi. Every story you've already made keeps working, forever, whether or not you keep paying.

From a story, you can generate a link and send it to anyone — a grandparent, say. It opens straight to that one story, plays immediately, and needs no account or app install on their end.

The link is a long random token, never indexed by search engines, and shows nothing but that one story — there's no way to browse from it to anything else of yours. Surnames never appear.

It's transcribed and kept so the story can be read back in your voice — nothing more. We never clone your voice, generate new speech from it, or use it to train any model, ours or anyone else's.

Supabase hosts the database and files. OpenAI handles transcription and illustration under contract and doesn't train on your content. RevenueCat and Apple process payment. Nobody gets more access than their part of the job requires, and nothing is sold to anyone.

No age, no birthday, no photo, no school — nothing beyond a first name you may have said aloud while telling the story. We don't knowingly collect information directly from a child, and if we ever learn that we have, we delete it.

Check your connection first — illustrations need one to load. If a page is stuck, pull down to refresh; if it's still stuck after a minute, it's worth trying again shortly or writing in.

Make sure your phone isn't on silent and the volume's up, then check Nubi has permission to play audio in iPhone Settings. If a shared link won't play, it may have been switched off or expired by whoever sent it.
